ABOUT THE CUSTOMER

John had just rented a new apartment and wanted help turning it into something more elevated and considered. A space to work, host, and unwind. We supported with smart layout planning and full styling to create a home that feels calm, functional, and quietly refined.
PROJECT INTRO
When John reached out to us, he had just rented an apartment that felt a little run-down and not particularly style-savvy. He was looking to turn it into something more elevated. His wishlist was clear: a calming home office for focused work, a primary bedroom that felt warm and grounded, a guest room to host friends and family, and a living and dining space that could feel equal parts relaxing and ready to entertain.
We explored a range of layouts and furniture pieces to bring that vision to life. In the end, we landed on a setup that felt timeless, rooted in modern Scandinavian design, combining sleek lines with earthy tones, and drawing interest through layered textures and materials. The result is a home that feels both polished and personal.
LIVING & Dining ROOM
Relax, Dine, Repeat
The living and dining area reflects the same design principles that run through the rest of the home: sleek, earthy, and modern with a soft Scandinavian sensibility. To keep the space feeling open and effortless, we opted for curved silhouettes like the plush off-white sofa and round dining table, which add flow and balance to the rectangular layout.
A hidden TV blends seamlessly into the space, allowing the room to sit more stylishly without the usual black screen distraction. We introduced plenty of greenery to bring life and softness to the clean lines, and used mood lighting to shift the atmosphere from day to night. Everything is tied together with rental-friendly storage solutions that add function without compromising on style.

Home Office
A calm space to Focus
The home office leans into quiet Japandi aesthetics, with clean lines, warm woods, and a calming palette that makes working from home feel more like a choice than a chore. Full-height shelving and integrated storage keep everything tucked away and within reach, helping to maintain a clear and organised space. We added blinds for a little privacy without sacrificing sunlight, allowing the room to stay bright while feeling cocooned. The desk was positioned to take in sweeping city views, and the soft styling and greenery create a sense of ease. It’s a space that feels elevated and serene, designed for deep focus without visual noise.

Primary Bedroom
A bedroom that breathes
In the primary bedroom, we focused on creating a space that feels calm, open, and grounded. The mirrored closet doors were added to help bounce natural light around the room, instantly making it feel larger and brighter. We kept the palette light and neutral, layering in textures through soft linens, a high-pile rug, and sculptural lighting that adds quiet character without overwhelming the space.
A built-in unit by the entry provides extra storage while keeping the room feeling streamlined. The overall mood is ultra serene—a true retreat that feels tucked away from the pace of city life.
Guest Bedroom
Compact, Cosy, Considered
In the guest bedroom, we focused on keeping things minimal but still inviting. Soft neutrals make the room feel calm and open, while deep green lamps and sculptural wire lighting add small but striking moments of contrast. Despite the smaller footprint, the layout makes full use of the space, with practical bedside storage and thoughtful styling that feels both elevated and lived-in.
