Wendy and Ed wanted a home that felt cosy, calm and easy to live in. With Wendy working from home and their Bichon very much a part of daily life, they needed a space that could balance it all while looking effortlessly good.
For Wendy and Ed, the goal was a cosy, natural home that worked around everyday life. With Wendy working from home and their Bichon Frise in the mix, we created a modern-Scandinavian space that feels warm, functional and easy to live in, complete with a dedicated study and coffee corner.
The big windows already made the living room feel really open, so we wanted to keep that sense of light and space. We chose a compact, curved sofa and a freestanding TV on legs so movie nights were covered without blocking the view, while keeping the rug clear for their Bichon to play.
Wendy had also asked for a coffee corner for her work-from-home days, so we gave it a clean, styled setup of its own. In the dining area, a warm wood table, soft grey chairs and a handy sideboard keep things practical, with oversized artwork adding a focal point without taking over the room.
We kept the bedroom clean and calm, with rounded bedside tables and a curved headboard picking up on the softer edges used throughout the home’s cabinetry. A few green cushions add just enough colour, while the linen pendant lamp above keeps everything feeling warm and a little more pulled together.
We made the most of this compact room by getting it to work a little harder. We opted for full-height mirrored wardrobes to bounce light around and avoid darkening the space. The desk-chest of drawers combo actually extends and swivels out so Wendy can work and do her make-up facing the Hong Kong views. It also doubles as a dressing table when needed, keeping the setup flexible without adding clutter.
