Lena’s Understated Luxury Duplex

LIVING ROOM
Warm tones with curated accents

The living room centres around Lena’s existing cream sofa and light blue armchair, which set a soft, inviting foundation for the space. We leaned into warm tones and added subtle neutral decorative pieces, a coffee table and a TV console that complemented rather than competed with what she already had.

Behind the sofa, we created a small reading area, a quiet corner perfect for unwinding at the end of the day. Two carefully placed armchairs and a side table make it an ideal spot for a book or morning coffee. By the window, Lena’s cat now has prime real estate too, with a cat tree positioned to take in one of the best views in the city.

Overall, the room feels clean and uncluttered, with just enough personal touches to feel thoughtfully composed rather than staged. It’s a space designed for everyday living that still feels considered from every angle.

DINING ROOM
A seamless extension of the living space

Lena’s original dining table anchors the room, complemented by a striking piece of traditional Chinese ink artwork that stretches elegantly across the wall. To balance the light wood tones, we paired the table with upholstered dining chairs featuring black detailing, introducing contrast and structure to the space.

A rattan sideboard with black trim ties everything together, echoing the colour palette while adding texture and warmth. Above the table, a sculptural statement lamp adds drama without overwhelming the room, creating a focal point that feels both artistic and functional.

At the back of the dining area, we carved out a small study corner that doubles as a plant display when not in use. The compact wooden desk with ladder-style shelving keeps the footprint light while offering just enough surface for work.

GUEST BEDROOM
Quietly restful, carefully layered with colour

Designed as a welcoming retreat for visitors, the guest bedroom embraces warmth without feeling heavy. Dark wood accents run throughout the room while marble bedside lights add a bit of lightness. Two colourful paintings hang side by side above the bed, introducing personality without overwhelming the tranquil palette. A chest of drawers and a simple coat stand provide practical storage, keeping the room functional for guests while maintaining a clean, uncluttered look.
