A young family relocating from the UK reached out to us to help build their first Hong Kong home. We had the privilege of collaborating to design a forever home where the family can create lifelong memories of this new adventure and exciting chapter of their lives!

PROJECT INTRO

We were definitely manifesting our dream home when we styled this breathtaking Mid-Levels home. All the way from the UK, our client found us on Google as she prepared to relocate to Hong Kong with her young family. Her husband had secured a new role, and it marked the start of a new adventure, a new life, and a new home in Hong Kong. We were so excited to be part of that transition.

Relocating to Hong Kong can feel overwhelming, especially when you are trying to set up a family home from abroad. To make it seamless, we handled the entire styling process online before they arrived. Through Google Meet, emails, and WhatsApp, we collaborated closely to bring her vision to life and ensure the home felt ready from day one.

Communication was effortless. By the time the family landed in Hong Kong, their Mid-Levels home was ready to welcome them into this next chapter.

LIVING ROOM & PLAY AREA

For family time and kicking back

As you walk into their spacious apartment with high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, the Hong Kong skyline view is already making a statement. Our clients preference of minimal neutral tones and elegant finishes throughout her home with a touch of black and gold accents was definitely going to make the space look effortlessly luxe.

For the living area, we chose a gorgeous large L shaped sofa, dark nesting coffee tables and styled them with gold sculptures and mirrored trays that were simply stunning when the light hit them. For added lighting, we picked an interesting rustic floor lamp from Ovo Hong Kong and had it arched over the corner of the couch. A grand TV console with wood and marble detailing took the centrepiece of the living room, and pops of leafy plants were placed around to bring some life to the room, finished with a cosy cream rug.

Behind the living area, our client wanted to make a little play area for her boys while still keeping it in theme to the home. It had to be practical while making sure there were tons of storage for toys. When it comes to practicality and organization our favorite child-friendly piece is the transformable desk which can be turned into a desk to get their creativity on or put away as a sideboard to store books and crafts – the best of both!

DINING ROOM
For intimate family dinners

In their home at Queen’s Garden in Central, we kept the dining area simple yet elegant, perfect for hosting friends and endless intimate family dinners. Keeping to the grey minimal tone, we styled the dining area with a light wood rectangular dining table with light grey chairs to match the living room sofa, and chose darker vintage and textured sideboards with black and white artwork to bring sophistication and class to the room. Little trinkets from travels and unique home decor objects were placed along the sideboard to add character and spark conversation.

THE BOY’S ROOM
For learning and playing

The boys room is perfect for learning and playing! While her taste is quite contemporary modern, we love the end result of this room mixing and matching pieces from Petitbazaar and Ikea. We hope they make many memories growing up together and having the most awesome brotherly bond.
