Being a mother of two and a stay-at-home mom, Jessy envisioned a minimal, cosy, and down-to-earth home where she can spend quality time with her girls, listening to her favourite classical music and hosting close friends on weekends.

Living Room

For quality family time

In her home on College Road in Kowloon Tong, Jessy was open to our suggestion of a customised curved sofa, which worked very well in the layout of her home. The light grey sofa with a brass base added a touch of contemporary modern, and we chose a combination of earthy beige and green cushions and a statement rug with a tint of orange, blue, and cream to spice up the space. We placed lots of leafy plants, both small and large, around the room for added earthiness.

We went for a simple silver floor lamp and an elegant modern pendant light with brass details hung above the ceiling, which gives a very nice glow as a centrepiece in the room. It was important to Jessy to have a lounge chair for reading, so we picked one with a footstool so you can really sit back, relax, and get lost in a good book. Near the sofa area, we decided to install a sleek black wall unit to balance the display of books, small plants, ornaments, and photos.

Dining Room

For hosting friends

As you enter the apartment, we wanted to create a welcoming entrance and chose a green shoe cabinet, which we decorated with a green vase and tray. We also picked a grey plush stool with storage so the kids can put their shoes on and store their toys away.

You are then welcomed to a gorgeous, large, light-wood dining table, paired with cream dining chairs around it, followed by a beautiful, deep-brown sideboard to display modern artwork and flowers. On the wall, we chose an interesting, irregularly shaped mirror to add an artsy look to the room. Above the dining room, we chose these 2 elegant hanging lights, which created a sense of calm and cosiness in the area.

It was fun working with Jessy since she was open to interesting styles and layouts. Her home was also amazing to work in, with high ceilings and lots of airy space. When we asked her what kind of style she was going for, she wanted earth-toned accents with a touch of black and brass details. Modern meets elegance. So we got right to it!

Kids’ Bedroom

For playtime and learning

With the kids growing up, Jessy wanted their bedroom transformed into a space for playtime and learning. Storage and easy organisation were key to designing the girls’ room.

We picked 2 desks and 2 desk chairs to place along the side of the wall, a grey bookshelf for the other side of the wall, a transformational table that was perfect for storage and a cute round rug to add a splash of sunshine to the room.
